Study #27: AYIN

Study #27: AYIN

AYIN: THE 16TH LETTER OF THE HEBREW ALPHABET

THE AYIN WORD: ETZ (TREE) PART 5

THE NEW JERUSALEM (PART 2)

Yesterday’s lesson prompted this question: Is there such a future Heaven on Earth? Is there a heaven to begin with?

Paul knew heaven was real – and this lent hope and perspective as he weathered through the worst that life and satan could throw at him.

Thus, he wrote: ” Therefore do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” (2 Cor.4:16-18).

In verse 14, Paul declares his confidence that just as God raised Jesus from the dead, we will one day be raised as well.

ABBA FATHER, our earthly life is not all there is. For our eternity in Heaven is as certain as our life on Earth. Since our resurrection and eternal future are secure, we do not lose heart. Let us have Your perspective of human life and like Paul ” consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us ” (Romans 8:18). Beyond the sufferings of this world is an unspeakable joy that will be ours to experience.
