Everyone has questions

We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share their point of view; wherever they are in the world.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes – you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.

Who's it for?

Alpha is for anyone who’s curious to explore the big questions of life, faith and meaning. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment.

How does it work?

Typically run over twelve weeks, no two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a short talk and a discussion where you can share your thoughts. There’s no pressure and no follow up.

In the experience of many Christians and congregations of many denominations, Alpha has touched & changed personal as well as community lives for Christ. The fruits of Alpha attests to the sovereign grace and mercies of Almighty God as His means to bless the Church and the world in such a time & season of our generation.

-Rev. Dr. Ong Hwai Teik, Bishop of the Methodist Church in Malaysia
