STUDY 27- KAF

Study #27: KAF

KAF IN THE WORD KAFAH ( TO BEND DOWN )

Yesterday’s devotional struck a chord with some of you.

To receive an anointing from God is to be in the posture of submission – on “bended knees”.

Let us imagine a very tall brother in church – he too must bow down to receive an anointing from his pastor. In other words we must humble ourselves to receive God’s blessing on His terms not ours.

This is an attitude of humility in tandem to the first Beatitude taught by Jesus as recorded in:

Matthew 5:3-12 New International Version (NIV)

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”.

Heavenly Father, the poor in spirit are those who realise that they are morally bankrupt without You. Only then will they be lifted up from their ground zero. For You will exalt those who are lowly, meek, humble and contrite in heart who acknowledge an ongoing need for You. Indeed You are the glory and lifter of our heads (Psalm 3:3 ).
