Today we shall begin with our New Life in Christ.
- Ephesians 2:1 tells us that non-believers are “dead in transgressions and sins”.
- Ephesians 4:18 says that apart from Christ, we are “separated from the life of God”.
- However Ephesians 2:4-5 assures us that when we trusted in Jesus, ” God…made us alive with Christ”.
Heavenly Father, salvation through Jesus Christ brings staggering benefits. As the doctrine of justification teaches us, You declare condemned sinners “not guilty” by virtue of Your grace and our faith in Christ. Thus we thank You we have been justified in Christ ( Romans 5:1; Galatians 2:16 ) and You have granted us spiritual life when we were once spiritually dead. Indeed our lives have been regenerated and we are given new life in Christ (John 3:5; Titus 3:5 ).
