Study #5: VAV

The gematria for VAV is 6 which has two related meanings:

1. THE NUMBER FOR MAN

Man was created on the 6th day of Creation.

2. THE NUMBER FOR SIN.

Just as 5 meant grace, 6 meant sin.

Put these two meanings together, and we have a composite picture of a “Man of Sin”.

Since Christ is our VAV, we realise He took upon Himself the burden of our sin, and gave us in return His righteousness ( His sinless perfection ).

As Paul wrote: ” For He (God) hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” ( 2 Corinthians 5:21 ).

Father God, the divine exchange of the Cross meant that Jesus became the Man of Sin we were that we may be be imputed with His righteousness to become godly men and women in Him. As Paul wrote: ” that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God on the basis of faith” ( Philippians 3:8-9 ).
