Study #15: CHET

CHET IN THE NAME OF ENOCH ( CHNUK ): PART #2

Enoch, the 7th from Adam, appeared 3,000 years before the birth of Jesus.

Yet in the name of Enoch is encoded the plan of God to redeem mankind through the person of His only begotten Son.

Today we shall study the numerical meaning of his name.

CHET= 8 = New birth, new creation, new beginning.

NUN = 50 = Pentecost, Jubilee, Holy Spirit.

VAV = 6 = Enmity with God, Number of Man, Secular, Man’s world.

KAF = 20 = 10X2 = redemption and deliverance, ordinal perfection.

Thus it can be translated as : ” A new birth brought about by the power of the Holy Spirit to redeem the world of Fallen Man”.

Father G_d, it is simply amazing that Enoch’s name contains so much revelation of the Messiah’s work and ministry – that He will offer Himself up on a cross where He is secured by an iron nail. Indeed Enoch’s name spells out Your redemptive purpose for our lives. And we have become the one new man in Christ as Paul described in 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”.
