Study #1: TET

THE FORM OF TET

We will take a new approach today re this letter after CHET which holds the gematria of 9.

We usually approach each letter from the standpoint of its conventional, pictorial and numerical meaning.

But today let us study its form, the way it is written.

It is like an overturned CHET. On the left is a crowned ZAYIN and on the right is a VAV – both letters being joined together by a bridge at the base.

In the positive sense, TET is the picture of a man ( VAV ) who is bowing towards the crowned king who holds a scepter ( ZAYIN ) – like a disciple of Christ yoked to his master.

But in its negative connotation, it is the picture of a man ( VAV ) in rebellion – like a Serpent ( NACHASH ) about to attack its prey.

Abba Father, we must choose this day whom we must serve. Let us be like Joshua and make our stand upon his open declaration: ” As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord” ( Joshua 24:15 ).
