Study #4: TET
TET IN THE WORD TOV ( GOOD )
The first word in Hebrew we learn is TOV ( GOOD ) when we greet each other GOOD MORNING ( BOKER TOV ).
But it is difficult to understand TOV until we see TET as a receptacle like a basket waiting to be filled.
For example, TET is likened to a womb which after 9 months ( 9 being the gematria for TET ) gives birth to a child of promise.
Thus in Genesis, God used the word TOV seven times to describe His wonderful creation with Man as His crowning achievement. God thus infused His creation with His goodness.
TOV is spelt with 3 letters:
1. TET = Surround
2. VAV = Attached to like a nail.
3. VET/ BET = House, family.
TOV means that whatever God created is the same outside ( TET ) and inside ( BET ).
Thus TOV is the fulfilment of the proper use of creation, that we become vessels of honour filled with God’s goodness as He intended.
Abba Father, because of sin we have infused Your creation with evil, decay and death. Help us to re-align ourselves to Your TOV – the good and godly purposes You intended us to fulfill according Your divine plan for our lives as our Creator God.
