Study #10: TET
THE EXCLUSIVE TET
When you do Hebrew word studies, there are moments when you get holy goosebumps.
TET is one letter that strikes a spiritual high note.
Based on a word count, Psalm 118:8 is smack right in the middle of the Bible.
It reads in English: “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man”.
In Hebrew the first word of Psalm 118:8 is TOV(GOOD ) and the first letter of TOV is TET.
TET – in its positive sense – points to the One who surrounds us in His Life-giving embrace.
Who is He but Christ?
Abba Father, Jesus is our great High Priest “who has gone through the heavens” ( Hebrews 4:14 ) as the perfect sinless sacrifice. As we are in Him, we are exhorted to “…approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” ( Hebrews 4:16 ). For in Him we truly live and move and have our being ( Acts 17:28 ). Indeed He is the center of our lives.
