Study #18: YOD
YOD AND WORSHIP
Look at the following YOD words. What is their common denominator?
YAD = Hands Raised
YADA = Praise
YEHUDAH = People of Praise
YADA = To know God intimately
YHVH = God
YIRA = Fear of the Lord.
All these YOD words are concerned with WORSHIP.
Yes many may have creative ability in the use of their hands. Some even wield power and authority. A few can even employ the Roman upward or downward thumb of a Roman emperor to dictate life or death.
Instead YOD teaches us that we are called to use our hands as worshippers of YHVH, to bless His Holy Name.
Heavenly Father, Your YOD teaches us to be true worshippers, lifting holy hands to You, as a People of Praise, that we may know You intimately face to face, with a holy fear of Your Name above all names.
