Part 2: YOD and God’s Divine Name

How we view God’s Name will determine the “Fear of the Lord” that we have towards Him.

His most sacred name begins with the smallest letter of the Alef-Bet called YOD.

It helps to consider the three significant Hebrew names we have been given in the Bible that begins with YOD:

Yod- Hei- Vav- Hei
Yeshua
Yisrael

All three begins with YOD.

Indeed YOD teaches us that from God “derives ALL other things by the power of His Word”.

Father God, forgive us for misreading YOD as though You were the ” God of Small Things”. But if we can but see YOD as a pictorial as Your Hand and Almighty Arm, we will realise how awesome is Your Name and how deserving You are of all glory for creating and upholding the entire universe. For indeed, as the song goes, You got the whole world in Your Hands!
