Study #22: KAF
KAF AS THE SYMBOL FOR THE LAYING ON OF HANDS
We sometimes see pictures of Jewish fathers blessing their children by laying hands upon their heads. And we wonder why?
KAF is a picture of the upturned or downturned palms of the hand.
The two letters that spell KAF are KAF and PEY – the initials for the word KOACH ( POTENTIAL ) and POEL ( ACTUAL ).
Thus the laying on of hands symbolically enables the power of the spiritual ( POTENTIAL ) to be actualised in the natural ( ACTUAL ).
Heavenly Father, this symbolic gesture of anointing by the laying on of hands has been adopted by some churches. It means the spiritual impartation of Your covering, care and protection upon the lives of those who come under the protection of Your mighty Hand ( YOD ). As Isaiah 62:3 informs us:
“You also will be a crown of glory in the hand of Jehovah, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God “.
