Study #28: KAF

Study #28: KAF

THE BEAUTY OF KAF WORDS

Today there are 5 KAF words which are closely related. Even the English spelling for Cherub ( singular ) or Cherubim ( plural) begins with a KAF in Hebrew.

How are they related? Firstly they are all found in one place – the Holy of Holies.

KISSEI = Throne of God = The Mercy Seat on top of the Ark of the Covenant.

KETER = The Crown on the Head of the King who sits on His Throne.

KAVOD = His glory that surrounds Him. The Hebrew word for this tangible manifestation of His glory ( e.g. as smoke ) is SHEKINAH though it is not mentioned in the Bible.

KANAPH is the wing – or wings of the two cherubim that cover the Ark – a double KAF that symbolises the palms of God’s Hand as KAF, His anointing.

KAPHAR = Cover e.g. a covering for the national sins of Israel when the blood is sprinkled on the Mercy Seat seven times by the High Priest on Yom Kippur ( Day of Atonement ).

What is the revelation when all these KAF words are added up? They surely spell the awesome beauty of His Holiness.

Heavenly Father, thanks to the sacrificial death of Yeshua, the Veil is now torn and we are invited to come into Your presence in the Holy of Holies under the cover of the Blood of the Lamb that redeemed us from sin, death and the devil and atoned for our sins once and for all when we accepted Yeshua as our Messiah. As Hebrews 10: 19-22 states:

” Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water”.
