Study #4: LAMED
LAMED THE GAME CHANGER: PART 1
LAMED is strategically poised as the 12th letter of the 22 consonants of the Hebrew Alef-Tav.
12 is the number of New Begginings e.g. as we move to LAMED from the earlier letter of KAF.
Let us study the 3 point illustration ( reading from right to left ) in the diagram given.
- KAF as the final ending of a word is written with a long downward stroke. As each letter represents Yeshua as the Word of God, this ending form of KAF shows Him “going down” – from the Cross to the Grave as it were.
- But LAMED in the second illustration is a picture of ” going up ” – a picture of resurrection life.
- So LAMED has this to teach us – that if we identify with Christ in His death, we must now come to the point of identifying with Him in His resurrection life.
Heavenly Father help us to understand that LAMED kicks off our resurrected life in Christ – what theologians call the walk of Sanctification after our Justification by Faith ( in the first eleven consonants of the Hebrew Alef-Tav ). Thus LAMED is the game changer – as we move into the newness of life in Christ led and empowered by the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit.
