Study #14: LAMED
THE GEMATRIA OF LAMED ( PART 2 )
30 is the number of the start of ministry. LAMED as the rod of authority is not handed to a novice but a spiritually matured person who understands the responsibility that comes from the privilege of wielding authority over others.
The Bible supports this finding:
- Joseph became second to Pharaoh over Egypt at the age of 30 ( Gen.41:46 ).
- David became king at 30 ( 2 Sam. 5:4 ).
- Levites started serving at 30 ( Num.4:3, 23, 47; 1 Chron.23:3 ).
- Jesus started His ministry at 30 ( Luke 3:23 ).
30 is the Gematria of the name JUDAH, the royal tribe from which Jesus’ earthly parents could trace their lineage.
Abba Father, as the Son of Man, Jesus laid aside His divine privileges and glory when He came to dwell among men (Phil.2:7). He waited until 30 to perform His miracles because His ministry proved how a MAN anointed by the Holy Spirit could defeat sin, sickness and satan!
