THE 5 TRAITS OF A DISCIPLE
- A TRANSFORMED LIFE.
Paul prayed in Galatians 4:19 that we be spiritually transformed into the likeness of Christ.
He had the revelation of God’s desire to grow us up in the faith, and make us like His Son.
This work of sanctification in our character is by the work of the Holy Spirit in us. “And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him” ( 2 Corinthians 3:18 ).
Thus a disciple KNOWS Jesus and His teaching; GROWS more like Jesus; and GOES for Him, serving others and making new disciples.
Abba Father, help us heed Paul’s advice to be more Christ-like in Colossians 2:7 – “Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness”.
