- THE GOSPEL IS ABOUT A SAVIOUR.
In His love for us, God did not leave us in our helpless and hopeless state. He sent us a Saviour. The prophet Isaiah said that such a Saviour would have to suffer and die for our sins.
Isaiah 53: 4-6
- Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
- But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Heavenly Father, we thank You that Your Son died on the Cross that we may be saved. His death was the only way that we may live. Had He not died for us, there would be no remission for sin. And we would be separated from You forever. Indeed Jesus is the bringer of Good News.
