How do you measure the weight of a year? In the milestones reached, the tears shed in silence, or the countless ordinary moments that make up your days?
As we transition from 2024 to 2025, let’s take a moment to pause and reflect.
For some, the past year may have felt like a big win, a season brimming with purpose, accomplishments, growth, and clarity.
For others, it may have felt like an endless loop; study, work, sleep, repeat, leaving you questioning, “Is this all there is?”
Or perhaps 2024 was marked by struggles you’d rather forget, anxiety that kept you up at night, a relationship that fell apart, the loss of someone close or silent battles that no one noticed.
Transitions often prompt us to reflect on life; its meaning, its purpose, and its brevity.
It reminds us how little control we truly have and that our days are known only to God. Time and experiences are beyond our grasp, yet they shape us in profound ways.
In Ecclesiastes 3, the Teacher reaches a similar realisation. Life is a tapestry of seasons, where joy mingles with grief, gain intertwines with loss, and peace is often interrupted by conflict. Yet, the Teacher doesn’t stop at observing life’s paradoxes.
He declares a profound truth: “God has made everything beautiful in its time.” This reminds us that God is at work in the seasons of our lives, weaving a masterpiece from the threads of joy and sorrow.
When we grasp this truth, we see that our existence is not mere happenstance but part of God’s grand design. We lived through 2024 for a reason.
So, as we step into 2025, let us ask ourselves:
- What have I learned?
- How have I grown?
- How can I live more intentionally in the year ahead?
As followers of Christ, our calling is clear: to trust in the Lord, acknowledge Him in every area of our lives, and live in obedience to His Word. In doing so, we can face 2025 with quiet confidence, knowing Who holds the future.
Take heart that God is already in your tomorrow. Change is not a threat but an invitation to grow, to be transformed, and to see His hand at work.
May 2025 draw you closer to Christ, deepen your faith in His plans, and fill you with unshakeable faith for the days ahead.
In Christ,
