Prayer and worship will be the pillars of this year’s Tribal Gathering in Miri, Sarawak.
Themed ‘Sing A New Song For A New Era’, Tribal Gathering will be held from 10-12 October at the Miri Indoor Stadium, and will gather believers to press in for churches to become a house of prayer for all nations.
Tribal Gathering is a collaboration between Cornerstone Borneo churches, together with the Persatuan Kelabit, Saban dan Berawan (PKSB) and the Nehemiah Prayer Ministry which has representatives from various BEM/SIB churches.
Last year, over 4,000 believers from Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia gathered for Tribal Gathering in Miri to mark the 50th anniversary of the Borneo Spiritual Revivals.
Over 400 people received prayer across the three nights, with 176 people testifying of healings and breakthroughs.
Pr Rachel Bulan, event pastor and co-lead pastor of Cornerstone Community Church Borneo said last year was just the beginning.
“We are so excited for this year. Last year was the Jubilee year and whether you’re ready or not… the shift has already happened all across the earth,” she said.
A mandate to carry the revival legacy forward
Tribal Gathering 2023 was in many ways a handing-over from one generation to another as stalwarts of the faith across the region stood alongside emergent revivalists in prayer for the nations.
With over 100 churches represented and intergenerational synergy felt across the sessions, the Jubilee celebration of the revivals in Bario, Ba’kelalan and Taginambur ignited a shift in the spiritual atmosphere of the region.
The Holy Spirit moved in many hearts as they returned to their churches refired and refreshed to advance God’s kingdom here on earth.
In 2024, organisers are continuing to carry the revival mandate, with an increased focus on the next generation, prayer and worship.
Restoring the Church as a house of prayer
Event pastor Sabrina Low said there is an increased hunger for the move of God and called upon believers and churches to come for Tribal Gathering.
“When Jesus entered the city gates of Jerusalem (Mathew 21:12-13), the first thing He did was to set the house in order,” she said.
This year, Tribal Gathering will lead believers to declare and decree that our churches will be restored to their original intent and design: to be a house of prayer for all nations.
The three days will feature night rallies and Harp and Bowl sessions, described as a time for tarrying (Revelation 5:8) filled with prophetic songs and apostolic declarations.
As of 15 August, the confirmed speakers for Tribal Gathering 2024 are:
