Study #11: TET

TET AS THE FIRST LETTER OF THE WORD “TOV” ( GOOD )

The first time the letter TET is mentioned in the Bible is found in a statement about LIGHT – that it was good ( Tov ).

Genesis 1:3 -4 reads: “And God said, ‘Let there be LIGHT’, and there was LIGHT. God saw that the LIGHT was good ( Tov )…’.

Now this LIGHT was not the light of the sun, moon or stars – which came 4 days later in creation.This was the supernatural LIGHT of God.

And this LIGHT is none other than our Lord who said: ” I am the LIGHT of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the LIGHT of life” ( John 8:12 ).

Heavenly Father, when You created Adam and Eve, You said it was ” very good” ( Genesis 1:31 ). You saw them bathed in Your glorious LIGHT. Both Adam and Eve lost this LIGHT through their sin of disobedience and until we repent and accept Jesus as our glorious Lord and Master, we will not be able to walk in Your LIGHT. ” But if we walk in the LIGHT, as He is in the LIGHT, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin” ( 1 John 1:7 ). Thus TET in the word TOV reaffirms that this is “very good”.
