Study 9#: KAF
The KAF WORD FOR CROWN ( KETER )
PART 1 : THE 4 CROWNS IN THE O.T.
There are 4 crowns in the O.T. given to Israel:
1. Keter Torah – the Crown of Torah.
2. Keter Kehuna – the Crown of Priesthood.
3. Keter Malkhut – the Crown of the Kingdom.
4. Keter Shem Tov – the Crown of a Good Name.
The Crown of the Torah was given to all Israel at Mt.Sinai at Pentecost when the people said ” we will do and obey” ( Exodus 24:7 ).
But they dishoured their vow at the Golden Calf incident so the Crown of the Priesthood were given to the Levites who stood by Moses and the Crown of the Kingdom was later given to the Davidic lineage.
What remains for the regular Jew then was to wear the Crown of the Torah and the Crown of a Good Name.

With the privilege comes the responsibility of representing You properly as priests ( from Man to God ) and as kings ( from God to Man ) just as Peter wrote:
1Peter 2:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
