Study #5: LAMED
LAMED THE GAME CHANGER: PART 2
Yesterday we found LAMED is right smack in the middle of the 22 consonants of the Hebrew Alef-Tav.
This is no mere coincidence as the first 11 consonants teaches us how Christ’s RESCUE of fallen mankind from sin and death sparked our JUSTIFICATION.
Now LAMED jumpstarts our walk or RACE IN CHRIST (SANCTIFICATION )
- At this point when we identify with His resurrection, we are no longer under Law but Grace. For the letter of the Law kills but the Holy Spirit in us gives life.
- And the selfsame Holy Spirit will be our best teacher who will teach us how to walk in Christ and finish our race.
- Thus Sanctification means to be more like Christ each day of our lives. Just as we are taught and disciplined by the Holy Spirit, we will be able to teach and disciple others.
Heavenly Father, LAMED ( the Rod of God’s authority/ the Staff of our Good Shepherd ) now becomes our turning point in the last lap of our walk or race in Christ. From here onwards we are taught to walk in the paths of righteosness after His Namesake. There is no turning back once we have decided to follow Jesus our Christ.
