Study #19: LAMED
LAMED: THE GOAD OF DISCIPLESHIP ( PART 3 )
What we have learnt is that a true disciple is both a learner and doer – one who “learns” in order to “do”.
As James tells us, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” ( James 1:22).
Thus others could tell that they had been with Jesus, not because of their words, but because of their actions (Acts 4:13).
Heavenly Father, in following their Master, the first disciples had so conformed their lives to His actions that others could see how Jesus lived in and through them (John 14:23; Colossians 1:27). Indeed this is the hallmark of true discipleship. May we too learn to deny ourselves, take up our daily Cross, and follow Him.
