Study #5: NUN

Study #5: NUN

NUN: THE 14TH LETTER OF THE HEBREW ALPHABET

To see Jesus in each Hebrew letter is not an easy exercise.

NUN is no exception.

The form of the NUN represents a bent VAV (symbol of a humbled man) who wears 3 tagins (symbol of a crown) who is then “crowned” with 3 tagins again as the upright NUN.

Jesus came as a man (VAV), was honoured for His absolute humility (as indicated by the crown of thorns), and is now exalted as the Righteous One who wears a golden crown of glory upon His head forever and ever ( Revelation 14:14 ).

Abba Father, in the written form of NUN, we see Jesus in two aspects: as Your Humble and Suffering Servant in His earthly ministry and then the glorified Christ in His heavenly persona. Thus, NUN sums up His destiny in one word which is just too awesome to fathom. May You enlarge our understanding to appreciate the whole spectrum of the Hebrew Alphabet when Jesus Himself said: “I am the Alef and Tav “(Revelation 22:13).

Revelation 14:14

Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like a son of man, having a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand.
