Study #6: SAMECH

SAMECH: THE 15TH LETTER OF THE HEBREW ALPHABET

Yesterday we studied how SAMECH is linked to the Crown of Thorns that Jesus wore on His head.

Another powerful image of His protection is the Sheep Gate.

As our Good Shepherd, He would guide us into the sheep pen, encircle the top of the surrounding wall with thorns to keep predators out and sleep at the open gate to ensure nothing will go in or out without His notice.

In Jerusalem there is a gate called the “Sheep Gate”. It is where the sheep were led to their death as a sacrifice for the sins of the people. 

Indeed, Jesus is our Sheep Gate of Salvation who chose to lay His life down that we might have life. 

Abba Father, Jesus as our Sheep Gate is the way, the truth and the life and only through Him do we have access to Heaven’s Gate. Let us be always mindful of His words in John 10:7-10

“Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enters in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
