Study #28: AYIN
AYIN: THE 16TH LETTER OF THE HEBREW ALPHABET
THE AYIN WORD: ETZ (TREE) PART 5
THE NEW JERUSALEM (PART 3)
Yesterday we learnt how Paul regarded Heaven.
Today let us study one of our Lord’s final teachings to His disciples on His last night with them.
John 14:1-3 (Berean Study Bible)
- Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well.
- In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
- And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.…
Think about this. Jesus had been in Heaven before His Incarnation. He knew that Heaven was a real place and not some wishful thinking.
He was telling His followers (and us) that their hope in Heaven was not a false hope, but a real place with a real future.
ABBA FATHER, when we have a clear understanding about eternity and about Heaven, we can face trials and troubles. They can shake us, but they cannot break us. Our Lord said: ” You believe in God; believe also in Me”. Our ability to persevere is directly connected to our ability to trust in Jesus and believe that He has our future firmly in His hands.
