Study #35: AYIN
AYIN: THE 16TH LETTER OF THE HEBREW ALPHABET
THE AYIN WORD: ETZ (TREE) PART 5
WHAT WILL BE OUR FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF HEAVEN?
John who wrote the Book of Revelation said that: “What will be has not yet been made known”(1 John 3:2).
God had not given us a detailed picture of what heaven will be like but He left clues about it as a place where every longing of the soul will be satisfied.
John wrote of the redeemed: ” He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:1-4).
It is difficult to imagine what that will be like. R.J. Sproul lists 10 things that we will not find in heaven:
1.Tears
- Sorrow
- Death
- Pain
- Darkness
- Ungodly people
- Sin
- Temples
- The sun or moon
- The curse from Adam’s sin.
Somehow these missing items cannot compare with the everlasting Presence of God.
ABBA FATHER, far more important than any of the ten missing items in Heaven is the fact we will be in Your Presence enjoying unhindered fellowship with You.
