Study #39: AYIN

Study #39: AYIN

AYIN: THE 16TH LETTER OF THE HEBREW ALPHABET

THE AYIN WORD: ETZ (TREE) PART 5

WHAT WILL WE LOOK LIKE?”

The Bible is not explicit on this.

Paul wrote that we are guaranteed a resurrected, glorified body.

He contrasts our present bodies  – which decay and die (“perishable”) – to our resurrected bodies (“imperishable”) which will be full of glory, power and will never die.

Our earthly bodies are “weak” in many ways. Not only are we subject to the natural laws of gravity and time/space, we are weakened by sin and its temptations.

But our glorified bodies will be empowered by the Spirit that owns us, and weakness will be no more.

As Paul wrote:  “When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: ‘ Death has been swallowed up in victory’ ” (1 Cor. 15:54).

ABBA FATHER, all of this is possible because of Jesus who became ” the first of a great harvest” (verse 20) of those who will be raised to life again. According to a Christian author: ” …no matter what we look like, our bodies will please the Lord, ourselves, and others.”
