Many have asked me what is the significance of Hebrew that it should be studied as a language.
My short answer is that it is the only language in which God speaks to us in three ways: coventional, pictorial and numerical unlike any other language before or since.
And the 22 consonants of the Aleph- Bet ( what we define in English as the Alphabet ) are the building blocks of words that can virtually transform our lives inside-out.
The first letter of the Hebrew Aleh-Bet is called ALEPH
In Hebrew it is the picture of an ox or strong leader. From it the Greek letter ALPHA was formed. As ALPHA it no longer was a picture but became the Greek “a” sound.
Father God, in this series of devotionals we shall be exploring each and every consonant the first of which is ALEPH. Help us understand its significance so that we can understand its association with You as our Strong (ever-powerful) God and the First. In other words, as our ALEPH we have to depend upon You as One who is truly first or strong in our lives. Who we allow to become our first controller thus becomes our God.
