Study #2: GIMEL
This equivalent of the letter G is the 3rd letter of the Hebrew Alphabet ( Aleph/ Bet ) …i.e. after A and B.
It comes from GAMAL which means ” to repay either good or bad for what has been done” – like a camel which brings benefit and repayment.
Thus GAMAL appears in scripture in the highlighted words, e.g.
1. Proverbs 11:17 – ” A merciful man DOES GOOD ( Strong’s #1580 ) to his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh”.
2. Psalm 103:2
” Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His BENEFITS “.
Father God, what we invest in will always pay us back. What we sow is what we reap. Although this may not be obvious in the short term, choosing to be merciful and obeying Your ways always pay off.
