Study #38: AYIN

AYIN: THE 16TH LETTER OF THE HEBREW ALPHABET

THE AYIN WORD: ETZ (TREE) PART 5

WHAT WILL TIME MEAN IN HEAVEN?

Time on earth seem to work against us. Every new year reminds us that time marches on. Rarely do we have the luxury of time.

In heaven, we will never run out of time. Since our heavenly city will have no darkness – due to the light that comes from the eternal glory of God (Rev.21:23) – there will be no more nights. So, is there measurable Time as such?

Rev.22:2 says that there are months:  “On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month”.

And despite the realisation that there is no night, there are days: ” On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there” (Rev. 21:25).

ABBA FATHER, it is beyond us to imagine what heaven will be like. As extraordinary as we can imagine it to be, it will be something better. There will be days and months filled with inexpressible joy, because we shall see the Lord Himself and be with Him for eternity. We will experience forever in heaven what we merely taste here on earth.
