Study #41: AYIN
AYIN: THE 16TH LETTER OF THE HEBREW ALPHABET
THE EYE (AYIN) OF THE LORD
In the Old Testament, the “Eye of the Lord ” refers to God’s intimate knowledge of our lives.
His eyes are everywhere, observing both the good and evil (Proverbs 15:3).
Moreover, in Psalm 34:15 (NKJV) we are told that:
15 ” The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry.”
Thus, His eyes focus throughout the whole earth to defend the righteous (2 Chronicles 16: 9) and to deliver those who are hoping in His faithful mercy (CHESED).
ABBA FATHER, this promise is doubly assuring as we go through the daily storms of life. May You be our trusted guide who sees ahead to deliver us from all evil.
