Study #6: CHET

Study #6: CHET

CHET IN THE WORD CHUPPAH ( THE TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE CANOPY)

Today we shall study the form of the letter CHET in the way it is written.

It combines the VAV on the right, the ZAYIN on the left, joined by a thin humpback line that forms a bridge on top of the two letters called the CHATOTERET.

To the Jewish mind, it is the shape of the traditional wedding canopy ( CHUPPAH ) where a Jewish groom ( VAV ) exhanges the vows of holy matrimony with his bride ( ZAYIN ) under the covering of G_D as the CHATOTERET.

Indeed as Ecclesiastes 4:12 says: ” A threefold cord cannot quickly be torn into two”.

Abba Father, being united with You gives a married couple the spiritual strength to cope with problems, and it is the key to achieving the greatest happiness in marriage.
