SAMECH: THE 15TH LETTER OF THE HEBREW ALPHABET

THE TWO FACES OF SAMECH (PART 2)

Today we shall see the other face of SAMECH found in its ordinal value of 15 – its place in the Hebrew Alphabet.

15 is the number of elevation – just as God exalts the humble but resists the proud.

How to reconcile yesterday’s lesson with today’s?

A good example is the death and resurrection of our Lord.

Philippians 2:8-9 (KJV)

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

Abba Father, indeed Jesus embodies SAMECH in both of its meaning. He humbled Himself unto death, devoid of pride, and You resurrected Him in exaltation by the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit.
