Study #9: YOD

Part 3: YOD and God’s Divine Name

There are prophetic meanings to the letters that form YHVH.

Here are two:

1. YOD is the Father’s Hand for us to behold ( the First HEI ) – the hand of our redemptive salvation pictured as the nail-scarred hands of His Son ( VAV ) for us to behold ( the Second Hei ).

2. YOD is the Father’s hand of deliverance from the kingdom of darkness ( Egypt ) while HEI is His Son our Deliverer from sin and death. Then VAV is the Holy Spirit who binds us to the Son whose Blood Sacrifice in VAV washed and cleansed us to await His Second Coming ( the Second Hei ).

Heavenly Father, there is so much significance in Your Name. May we always be humble as the YOD which teaches us never to gain pre-eminence for ourselves… just like Jesus who came to serve and not be served and gave His life as a ransom for many ( Mark 10:45).
