Study #2: ALEPH

The consonant Aleph is spelt in Hebrew with just 3 letters: an Aleph, Lamed and Pey (ALP).

Look at today’s accompanying pictorial and you will find a deeper pictorial meaning than yesterday’s picture of an ox.

Aleph = author

Lamed = authority that joins heaven and earth

Pey = mouth

From the outset you can see God as the ALEPH who spoke the world (creation) into existence by the authority (Lamed) of His Spoken Word (Pey).

This shows that there is no separation from God the Creator and the world of His Creation. In short, the Creator God is the source of everything.

Father God, once we see You as the Aleph, the author and sustainer of life, we will have greater reverential awe for You. For Genesis 2:7 tells us that You ” breathed into his nostrils (Adam’s) the breath of life; and Adam became a living soul”. ALEPH thus reminds us of this awesome truth in just one simple letter.
